The City of Norwalk Conservation Commission and Inland Wetland Agency met on October 13, 2026. The commission reviewed corrective-action and proposed-work applications, including unauthorized shoreline work at Samus Street and proposed filling and drainage changes at Silver Mine Golf Course. Neither application received a decision; staff and commissioners requested further plan details and information on wetland, water-flow, and downstream impacts. No contract award or new purchasing decision was identified. The commission also noted that a consultant is preparing the citywide flood-resilience plan, due by the end of October under a grant, and that the city is working with online permitting-system vendor Maintenance Star; no contract amounts or procurement actions were reported for either effort.

The commission voted to reduce a bond by $2,960, retaining $3,970 for ongoing planting obligations, and separately voted to release in full the bond for 71 Trail after staff reported the site met the required conditions. Members discussed outreach to property owners about wetlands and possible use of web, social-media, or other communications, but assigned no spending or procurement action. The commission approved the September 8 meeting minutes and adjourned.
