Yuma School District One’s monthly governing board meeting was held October 13, 2026. Procurement-related discussion included the fiscal year 2025–26 financial report: the district reported about $7 million in unrestricted capital expenditures for technology, classroom furniture, equipment, and facility improvements, and approximately $1.71 million in purchased services, including transportation, technology, and procurement. The board approved the annual financial report. The district also recognized a $5,000 classroom-supplies donation to G.W. Collier Elementary; reported total donations of $10,010.98 for the month and $30,358.64 year to date; and said it would monitor expenses conservatively amid declining enrollment and rising transportation costs.

The board received recommendations for new core English language arts curricula: HMH’s Into Reading for grades K–5 and Savvas’s myPerspectives for grades 6–8. These were recommendations for a 60-day review, with formal adoption expected to return to the board in December; no curriculum contract or purchase amount was approved at this meeting. The board also voted to retain State of Arizona Accounting Manual limits for meal and beverage reimbursements and adopted a School Bus Safety Week resolution. No other contract awards or bid approvals were identified.
