The October 13, 2026, NSL Utah Planning Commission meeting considered land-use applications and code changes; no government procurement, contract awards, or spending approvals were identified. The commission approved a conditional use permit, with no conditions, for a specialty fence at 702 South Tanglewood Loop. It also voted to recommend approval to the City Council of the Walker Ridge Townhomes general development plan at 3533 South Highway 89. The proposal is for eight townhome units, with discussion focused on height, setbacks, neighbor impacts, parking, fire access, and landscaping. The recommendation included a 35-foot maximum building height and required further architectural, layout, engineering, and development-agreement review; the development will also require right-of-way dedication and sidewalk and park-strip improvements.
The commission recommended a proposed amendment to City Code section 13-6-1 to the City Council. Staff also reported on moderate-income housing planning and a forthcoming committee to consider possible address changes in an annexed area. These were planning and policy discussions rather than procurement activity.
