The Town of Bridgewater Conservation Commission met on October 8, 2026, to consider wetland filings, enforcement matters, and a wetlands bylaw update. The commission approved a BC Group third-party review related to 295 Main Street, closed the hearing for 292 Bedford Street and approved it with a special condition requiring final retaining-wall specifications and soil-stability information, and approved orders of conditions for both proposed homes at 167 Oak Street. The 550 Curve Street hearing was continued to December 10, 2026, to allow time for zoning decisions; Vernon Street was also noted as continued. No contract award or specific spending amount was reported.
Consultant procurement remained in progress: the commission received an initial proposal for the wetlands bylaw update and expected proposals from other firms, including SWCA Environmental Consulting. EchoSolutions was preparing a cost proposal for enforcement-related work, with the commission awaiting its scope and price; officials said the applicant had agreed to pay. The town also expected to retain LEC as its consultant for the 1010 Elm Street enforcement matter, funded by the applicant. No consultant selection or spending authorization was made. The commission discussed alleged unauthorized material removal and grading at 1010 Elm Street, directing that work cease while the site and potential violations are reviewed.
