At its October 13, 2026 meeting, the Kings County Board of Supervisors approved a one-year ExaGrid support and maintenance agreement with CDW Government for $56,080, funded from the adopted FY 2026–27 IT budget. The agreement covers the county’s backup-storage appliances and was approved to avoid a lapse in support; the board authorized the purchasing manager to sign the purchase order. The consent calendar, which included the proposed commercial-grade metal ordinance, also passed. The board additionally adopted a county emergency proclamation related to the developing 2026–27 El Niño event; officials said the proclamation has no direct fiscal impact but may help the county coordinate and qualify for future assistance. Discussion highlighted flood preparedness, levee conditions, and potential needs for updated topographic mapping, but no related spending approval was made.

The CEO previewed procurement and capital items expected on the October 20 agenda: a janitorial-services RFP, an IT master service agreement, the Houston Avenue replacement bridge, and a Corcoran Health Clinic construction change order. Other meeting business included recognition of UC Cooperative Extension and 4-H, employee service awards, and public comments. No other contract awards or budget allocations were identified.
