The St. George City Council meeting on July 16, 2026, approved the consent calendar unanimously and held a public hearing on Ordinance 2026-000051 to vacate approximately 613 feet of platted right-of-way at the south end of Desert Color Parkway. The council unanimously approved the vacation conditioned on dedication of the replacement right-of-way for the roadway realignment. It also approved Ordinance 2026-052, amending the Desert Color commercial planned-development zone for a roughly 1.2-acre site planned for a McDonald’s, with nearby Taco Bell development also discussed; staff said landscaping, lighting, parking, and signage would need to meet applicable requirements.

The council unanimously adopted Resolution 2026-016R, amending fees for various services, including water rates for specified customer categories and an increase in the Dixie Days golf tournament fee from $100 to $125. A council member described most of the water-rate changes as pass-through adjustments to align with resident rates. No contracts, vendor selections, or procurement awards were identified.
