The City of Sacramento Disabilities Advisory Commission meeting on December 4, 2024, focused primarily on reviewing its draft 2024 annual report and 2025 work plan. Commissioners discussed carrying forward recommendations on a citywide ADA coordinator, accessible captioning for public meetings, accessibility of New City Hall restrooms and doors, commission communications, and tracking prior recommendations. They also recognized a fifth ADA drop-off location associated with the Fifth Street conversion project and asked staff to ensure the Kings receive the updated location information. Facility door improvements were described as underway, with before-and-after photos suggested for the report.

The commission approved the consent calendar. It did not finalize or forward the annual report and work plan; the item was continued to the January meeting so staff could incorporate the discussion. Commissioners also requested possible future presentations on Access Leisure and the Sacramento Police Department’s Return Me Safe program, and discussed follow-up on the Golden 1 Center transportation management plan. No contract awards, bids, vendor selections, spending allocations, or other procurement actions were identified.
