The City of Boca Raton’s Community Redevelopment Agency and City Council meetings were held October 13, 2026. The CRA approved the Sanborn private-club development at 100 NE 1st Avenue, including development-right transfers, streetscape work and a parking arrangement; this was a land-use approval, not a municipal contract award. In the Council meeting, members approved a three-year revocable license for Fletcher’s Restaurant to use four city valet spaces on First Avenue from 5 p.m. to midnight. The annual fee was calculated using the city’s hours-and-location rate method; the amount is unclear in the transcript. The motion passed with one recorded no vote. A council member questioned whether the rate reflected market value and asked staff to develop a clearer policy for future private use of public parking spaces.

The Council also introduced Ordinance 5810, authorizing a non-exclusive construction-and-demolition debris collection and disposal franchise agreement with Denko LLC, doing business as Dr. Rubble; the ordinance was introduced, not finally approved. Separately, the Council approved the Park Tower at Broken Sound site-plan amendment, including 97 residential units and 10 affordable units, by a 3–1 vote; this was a private development approval rather than a city procurement. Members discussed police-station location and a possible bond, but made no funding decision. They also unanimously increased the city manager’s settlement authority from $50,000 to $100,000; no procurement award or other specific purchasing decision was identified.
