At the West Ada School District Board of Trustees regular meeting on October 12, 2026, trustees approved a real property conveyance agreement with the City of Star and a separate SRO reimbursement agreement. The district will transfer an unused one-acre parcel, appraised at $100,000, for the city’s planned police substation parking; in connection with the arrangement, the district will receive two school resource officers for one year, valued at approximately $220,000. The agreements were approved unanimously, 4–0. A Lake Hazel Middle School remodel was described as entering its final phase, but no new spending or contract action was presented for it.

The board also unanimously accepted the fiscal year 2026 audit, which reported a clean financial-statement opinion and no material weaknesses or significant deficiencies. Revisions to student-discipline, bullying, and expulsion policies were presented for first reading, with a cyberbullying clarification to be added before a later reading; no vote was taken on those revisions.
