The Georgetown City Council meeting on October 12, 2026, included several procurement and spending matters. The Finance Committee unanimously approved a motion to contract custodial services through Deco, a temporary staffing agency using a state contract. It also discussed moving from the City’s credit-card program to a procurement-card program; staff will gather information and bring a proposal to a future committee meeting. For traffic calming, the Council received bids for speed humps and tables, with only one bid submitted. It voted to install four devices on Seminole Trail and defer the remaining locations; officials noted that the previously authorized $60,000 may be supplemented with other road funds. The Council also authorized the Mayor to proceed with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s proposed Southgate Drive right-turn-in/right-turn-out project, which the state would fund.
