October 12th Board Meeting

The Warrick County School Corporation Board meeting on October 12, 2026, approved routine business and several agreements. The board unanimously approved an annual vendor agreement with author, illustrator, and presenter Timothy Young, effective through June 30, 2027; the school attorney had reviewed the contract. It also approved an affiliation agreement with Indiana State University for cooperation on clinical and educational requirements, and a 2026–27 pilot participation agreement with the Indiana Bar Foundation to let Castle High School students pursue the Indiana Student Civic Excellence designation. The board discussed the pilot’s requirements and the possibility of broader participation in future years.

The board approved donations including a 2027 enclosed cargo trailer purchased by the Castle High School Robotics Club and valued at $10,996.92, and a $500 donation to Tennyson Elementary for outstanding balances. These approvals passed by roll-call vote. Personnel appointments, leaves, resignations, and a retirement were also approved; no other purchasing decisions or contract amounts were identified.
