The City of Easton Historic District Commission met on October 12, 2026, to review historic-district applications and follow-up items. The commission approved proposed porch and railing work at 25โ€“27 South 6th Street, a replacement rear deck at 48 South Sitgreaves Street, and reconstruction of the rear chimney at 34โ€“42 South Second Street. The application for trim replacement at 525 Ferry Street was not considered because no representative attended; commissioners agreed to let the applicant return. No contract awards, purchasing decisions, budget allocations, or project costs were identified.

The commission approved three of Comcastโ€™s four proposed ground-mounted power-supply installations for its downtown fiber network, with the North Bank Street location to be reconsidered and alternatives brought back; commissioners also discussed notifying nearby property owners. In old business, it approved replacement terracotta-style tiles for the hotel at 16 Center Square, based on submitted material samples and details, and approved the pedestrian bridge to the parking deck at 185 South as built, with the developer committing to closer HDC coordination on future projects. The meeting also addressed unreviewed work and preservation guidance; a stop-work order had been issued for a North 122nd Street stoop project. These were design and historic-preservation approvals rather than procurement awards.
