10/12/26 Kalispell City Council Session

The City of Kalispell Council held a work session on October 12, 2026, to review a working draft of a citywide traffic-calming policy. Staff proposed objective eligibility and prioritization criteria, a scoring rubric, a toolbox of physical measures, and standards requiring traffic-calming features in certain new developments. Council discussed safety, traffic speeds and volumes, pedestrian generators, neighborhood input, and the balance between proactive requirements and housing costs. No policy was adopted and no procurement awards or spending approvals were made.
