The LT Schools Board of Education held a combined work session and monthly meeting on October 12, 2026. The board approved additional appropriations across the operations, debt service, pension debt, and education funds; the district said the authority would allow it to spend available resources before year-end, including covering bond-related fees, and would not affect tax rates. It also approved a resolution reallocating approximately $1.18 million of homestead-credit impacts to provide additional support to the operations fund. The board approved 2026–27 consumable fees, including a proposed $33 kindergarten fee; district staff said the state allocation falls about $1.4 million short of annual spending on these materials and described payment plans and a new online payment portal for families.

The board also approved district participation in a class-action lawsuit against social media companies, with any recovery expected to go to the education fund; a board member suggested earmarking some potential funds for student mental health and technology literacy. Capital-project updates covered Blue Ribbon Phase 2 work, including school additions and planned HVAC and roofing work, but no new construction contracts or vendor awards were presented. Other discussion included graduation outcomes, board policy revisions, and district events.
