Sea Level Rise Subcommittee 10/08/2026

The City of San Rafael Sea Level Rise Subcommittee met on October 8, 2026. Members approved the prior meeting minutes; no procurement contract or spending vote was taken. Staff reported on ongoing resilience planning, agency coordination, storm-season preparedness, possible code changes, and funding efforts, including a request for federal support focused on the Bayfront levee. The City is also coordinating with state water officials and other agencies on adaptation and flood protection projects. Dredging was discussed, but the City is not participating in an earlier partial dredge because it is not budgeted and is not considered necessary at this time; the City’s current plan is to dredge later under its 10-year permit.
