The Historic Preservation Board of Miami Beach met on October 13, 2026, to consider an application for a certificate of appropriateness at 1931 Collins Avenue, a contributing historic building. The applicant proposed renovating the Kith store, including replacing damaged terrazzo flooring, updating storefront doors and windows, signage, and adding an ice-cream walk-up window on 20th Street. The board approved the renovation scope, with a requirement to extend terrazzo into the entrance vestibules, by a 6–0 vote. It continued consideration of the walk-up window to December 15, 2026, because of concerns about the narrow sidewalk, pedestrian queuing, and possible street redesign; the applicant and staff will investigate alternatives and street plans before then.

The board also noted that the revised location for the previously discussed Ike kiosks has been readvertised for the November 10 meeting, so no action was needed at this meeting. No contracts, vendor awards, budgets, or other procurement activity were identified.
