The Lee’s Summit City Council’s regular session on October 13, 2026, approved multiple procurement and capital-project items. The council authorized contract 2026-048 for bulk rock to Martin Marietta Kansas City LLC for a one-year term with up to four one-year renewals, and contract 2026-034 for security system products and services to American Digital Security LLC on the same term structure. It also approved a $29,699.76 Missouri Blue Shield grant; a $1,296,500 increase to WSKF’s architectural-services agreement for Fire Station No. 1, bringing the amended amount to $1,437,980; and a $993,432.78 agreement with SERVPRO of Lee’s Summit for temporary fire-station renovations, using a school-district contract to shorten procurement time. Other approved changes included $45,267 for Olive and Orchard Road storm-sewer improvements with DF Anderson Builders LLC (revised amount $5,736,347.14), $120,635.91 for water-main replacement with Lee and Sons Inc. (revised amount $5,584,121.57), $46,629.27 for the curb repair program with Phoenix Concrete LLC (revised amount $3,987,957.53 and 13 additional days), and $111,385.93 for the mill-and-overlay program with IDK Inc. (revised amount $4,580,750.15).
