The North Andover Community Preservation Committee met on October 8, 2026, to review project updates, quarterly financial reports, and the upcoming application cycle. The committee discussed Great Pond Road, where due diligence is complete and closing is expected soon, and Barker Farm, whose fundraising campaign was progressing with a potential closing by year-end. Financial reports showed approximately $78,200 remaining for Rolling Ridge and about $28,468 in an in-progress project expected to finish by December 2026; the Rolling Ridge balance and project history were flagged for further review. Members also discussed the cross-country project’s trailhead kiosk, which was reported as installed, with an invoice expected in a coming quarter.
The committee unanimously voted to close out six completed projects and return remaining funds as appropriate. A $25,000 balance for the inactive 623 Osgood Street land-purchase account was discussed, with possible use for a parking lot or return to the general fund; no decision was recorded. Members chose to keep the Zero Brad Street land-acquisition project open and considered working with Green Belt on it. No new contract awards, RFPs, or vendor selections were identified. The committee also voted to remove the notice-of-intent step from this fiscal year’s application process and discussed inviting potential applicants and project leads to a future meeting.
