The Springfield Community Preservation Act committee’s regular meeting on October 6, 2026, approved the September 1 minutes and the proposed timeline for the 2027 application process. The timeline includes a January 7 workshop, a February 26 application deadline, committee review and votes in the spring, and submission of recommendations to the City Council. Members discussed possible updates to the Community Preservation Plan and application, but deferred that work to a future meeting. They tentatively favored skipping the November business meeting and continuing on December 1; no formal vote on that schedule was recorded.

The committee discussed a November 8 reception at Forest Park’s renovated Monkey House to recognize Community Preservation Act projects, with members volunteering to help and provide refreshments. Members also noted that roof work is underway on the tornado-damaged Ames House, a project previously supported with CPA funding. No new contract awards, bids, vendor selections, or spending approvals were identified in the meeting.
