At its October 8, 2026 meeting, the Greenwich Board of Selectmen heard that the School Building Committee had interviewed owner’s-representative candidates and voted to select a new representative; no firm or contract amount was stated. The Board of Ethics also proposed improving the town’s online ethics-disclosure reporting system. An interactive system was estimated to cost $50,000–$100,000, but no purchase or funding was approved; the presenter said he would explore whether local engineering students could help develop it. The Ethics Board further recommended replacing its annual $10,000–$20,000 investigation allocation with a capped reserve fund of about $50,000, and expanding ethics training. These were recommendations for further consideration, not spending approvals. Separately, the Board approved a revision to town mooring fees and deadlines, with a public hearing scheduled for October 19 and RTM consideration expected October 26. It also approved a temporary Greenwich Avenue closure for the Veterans Day walk. The meeting noted a forthcoming CTDOT lighting and guardrail project on I-95 from Byram to Old Greenwich, with design expected to finish in December 2027 and construction anticipated in summer 2028; no town procurement action was taken on that project.
