The Metro Nashville Continuum of Care Homelessness Planning Council met on October 14, 2026. The council received an update on two Office of Homeless Services RFPs: one for support with the council and community strategic-planning process, and another to facilitate payments traditionally called consumer compensation. Youth Collaboratory was identified as the highest-scoring provider for one of the RFPs and was expected to receive the award; the procurement process was still underway, and no award vote was recorded. The status or selected provider for the other RFP was not specified. Members also discussed forming an ad hoc committee to develop a CoC governance agreement, including whether to obtain HUD technical or legal assistance through an RFP, but took no procurement action on that proposal.

The collaborative applicant reported that Nashville submitted its FY2026 CoC NOFO application under an accelerated timeline while the NOFO remains in litigation. The council was told that Nashville was not selected for a CoC Builds grant, while awards for the youth homelessness NOFO were still pending; members discussed possible funding delays or losses for projects. No decision was made to change the submitted rankings. Other discussion included a request to explore a summer cooling shelter, a proposed centralized services hub, and updates to council tracking and grievance procedures; no related spending or purchasing approvals were made.
