The Brockton Planning Board meeting, held October 6, 2026, approved the prior meeting minutes and several land-use applications. The board approved an ANR plan for the convent property associated with a phased development and an ANR lot division at 6 Jonathan Drive, an industrial-zoned property. It also approved the 331 Plain Street site plan, with final approval contingent on receipt of an order of conditions from the Conservation Commission; the Leech Avenue road-extension site plan with standard conditions; and the 270 Oak Hill Way site plan for an EOS headquarters and vehicle-maintenance facility. The Oak Hill proposal includes a 19,700-square-foot building, parking, drainage work, and utility connections. No contract awards, purchasing decisions, public spending allocations, or procurement actions were identified.
The board continued discussion of the Downtown Brockton Smart Road Overlay District zoning amendment to its November meeting while proposed terms and plans continue to evolve. Discussion included the potential residential redevelopment of the former Old Colony YMCA property and fire-department concerns about parking and emergency-vehicle access. A board member recused herself from the matter because she works for the YMCA. The overlay discussion is a land-use and zoning matter, not a procurement decision.
