Community Police Review Board Meeting, September 16, 2026

The City of Modesto Community Police Review Board met on September 16, 2026. The board approved the July 15 meeting minutes and voted to establish an ad hoc committee to study the Modesto Police Department’s Wake Up youth program; four members were appointed. Members discussed the program’s outreach, participant selection, follow-up, and possible expansion, noting that additional sessions could affect department staffing, scheduling, and funding, but no spending decision was made. A police lieutenant also provided updates on the community academy, youth academy, and Explorer program, including their schedules and capacity.
