PVSchools Governing Board meeting, October 8, 2026. The board unanimously approved the FY 2025–26 annual financial report, two secondary professional travel requests, a transportation staff travel request, and the gifts and donations report. The financial report showed $253.7 million in maintenance and operations expenditures, $63.8 million in debt service, and $77.3 million in bond-building expenditures. The district reported nearly $38 million in purchased services, including contracted special-education staff and custodial services; staff said the district is reviewing options to reduce reliance on contracted personnel where possible. The two educators attending the ACTFL conference will use dual-enrollment funds for the estimated $6,432 cost, while NSTA will cover most costs for the other educator’s conference; transportation staff travel costs will be largely covered by the Transportation Association.

The board also received an update on voter-approved funding and capital projects, with no new contract awards or solicitations identified. The district reported spending the full $30.9 million FY 2025–26 M&O override allocation and about $7.6 million in District Additional Assistance override funds, including carry-forward. It has about $1.1 million remaining from the 2019 bond authorization and about $292 million remaining from the 2023 authorization; Indian Bend’s school rebuild was identified as the district’s largest current bond project, and a board member reported it was under budget and ahead of schedule. The board discussed declining enrollment, budget mitigation, possible effects of Proposition 320, and upcoming votes on the M&O and DAA overrides. The superintendent also noted building-renewal grants from the Arizona School Facilities Division as a source of support for capital projects.
