Polk County 10/7/2026 Wednesday BOC Meeting

The Polk County Board of Commissioners’ October 7, 2026 meeting included public comment, approval of the agenda and September 30 minutes, and deliberation on a plan amendment and zone-change application concerning a proposed non-farm dwelling. The board discussed whether to decide the application on the existing record or allow more time for the applicant to provide an agricultural-area study and analysis of potential impacts. The board voted to keep the record open for new evidence through November 23 at 5:00 p.m., allow one week for rebuttal, and return to deliberation on December 16. The motion passed, with one no vote noted.
