The City of Lewisville Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session on October 6, 2026. The commission approved the September 22 meeting minutes, 4–0 with three members absent. After a public hearing, it voted 4–0 with three absent to recommend approval of a special use permit for a 750-square-foot hobby workshop at 2812 Treasure Cove Drive; the application exceeded the code’s 500-square-foot limit for accessory structures. Staff supported the request, citing its compatibility with nearby properties. The City Council will consider the permit. No procurement activity was identified.
The commission also voted 4–0 with three absent to recommend adoption of the Lewisville 2035 Vision Plan; City Council will hold a second public hearing and take final action. The plan reflects approximately 10,000 community-engagement touchpoints, sets out five “big moves” and five cross-cutting themes, and includes 139 action items, including priorities for aging infrastructure maintenance, neighborhood connections, economic opportunity, and livability. The planning consultants presented the plan, but no contract award, spending decision, or procurement action was discussed.
