The Lewisville City Council meeting on October 5, 2026, approved two zoning ordinances, each by a 6–0 vote: rezoning 1.304 acres at 1135 West FM 3040 from medical district to local commercial to allow a veterinary clinic, and rezoning 1.631 acres at 1707 Bunker Hill Lane from agricultural open space to light industrial for a proposed 15,000-square-foot commercial building with office, retail, and small-business space. The consent agenda was also approved and included a resolution concerning agreements and disbursement of social-service grant funding; no grant amounts or recipients were stated. Council approved, 6–0, a recurring special-event fee waiver for the Oldtown Business Association’s Second Saturdays market, beginning October 10. Event crowd-protection barricading fees were listed at $812.94, with future fees subject to change.
In a workshop, the police chief presented a proposed micromobility ordinance addressing safe operation, helmets and handheld-device use by minors, restrictions on pocket and minibikes in public areas, and vehicle use in designated special-event areas. Council discussed the proposal but took no action; staff may return with a revised ordinance. No contract awards, RFPs, vendor selections, or capital-project spending approvals were identified.
