The Inglewood Unified School District Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee met on October 13, 2026, to review committee procedures, bond oversight responsibilities, and Measure I-funded facility projects. Staff explained that Measure GG funds have been fully spent and the bylaws are being updated to remove references to that measure; Measure I remains under oversight, with a new joint committee possible if Measure MM passes. The committee discussed its role in reviewing expenditures and audits, while district leadership retains authority over project and contract decisions. The committee may not participate in bid processes, and district vendors, contractors, and consultants are ineligible to serve as members. Members approved the January 12 and April 16, 2026 meeting minutes; no contract award or procurement approval vote was reported.

Facilities updates included a $350,000 campus painting project by Sky Painting; approximately $1.3 million in roofing work at three sites by Addco Roofing; a $15 million modular construction project, with about $11 million from Measure I, designed by DSK with the Nazarian Group as builder and Silver Creek as modular manufacturer; and an approximately $11.8 million Benicia project, funded primarily by Measure I. Oak Street’s $18.1 million classroom project includes a $5.4 million state grant and uses Balfour Beatty as contractor. Staff also reported approximately $1.5 million in Benicia campus renovations, an $8.2 million five-year deferred-maintenance budget, and the approximately $232 million Inglewood High School reconstruction, funded primarily through Measure I. The committee asked about overdue annual reporting and audits; staff said the 2025–26 audit process would begin soon and proposed bringing audits and the annual report to a future meeting.
