The City of Indio Citizens Finance Advisory Commission met on October 8, 2026, to review Measure X finances and capital-project funding. For FY 2025–26, Measure X revenue was about $19 million, above the $18.2 million projection. The budget allocated $5 million to streets and roads, $5 million to the police headquarters under construction, and $7.8 million to debt service, with about $481,000 committed to other capital projects. Staff reported approximately $17.9 million in General Fund and Measure X project spending and estimated $33.9 million in Measure X dollars available at year-end. For FY 2026–27, projected Measure X revenue is $18.9 million; staff also outlined capital-project budgets of about $70 million for FY 2025–26 and $78.6 million for FY 2026–27. Staff said the Monroe interchange project was expected to go out to bid in November. The commission discussed how projects carry forward, how staff prioritize other eligible funding sources before Measure X, and requested future reporting on completed and in-progress projects. No contract award or procurement vote was taken; the only motion recorded was approval of the April 30, 2026 meeting minutes. Staff plans to bring audited financial reports to the commission before they go to City Council, targeting January or February.
