The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners’ regular meeting on October 13, 2026 included several infrastructure and funding actions. State Representative Linda Chaney presented a $3.9 million check for county infrastructure needs. The board unanimously approved an amendment with Miles Partnership for digital marketing services, focused on county tourism website development and maintenance, search optimization, and related work. Commissioners also discussed two economic-development funding applications, including a $2 million contribution toward a St. Petersburg lift station project; the transcript does not capture the final vote. A housing-funding item would reclassify $7 million in Penny funding to State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP), making that amount available under the county housing program. The board unanimously awarded the Ridgemoor Boulevard and Booker Creek bridge replacement bid to Conan Graham and pavement-preservation work to Preferred Materials, and approved a $475,000 increase for unforeseen sewer and stormwater utility conflicts. An agreement with Quantum Health was also approved unanimously.

The board unanimously approved giving Suncoast Center notice that county funding for its sexual-assault services agreement will end December 31; staff said $85,000 would cover the final three months and commissioners requested continued transition updates and outreach to hospitals. Commissioners discussed concerns about the Sheriff’s Office automated license plate reader (ALPR) network and a proposed pause or restriction, but took no action on a resolution at this meeting; staff was asked to prepare an agenda item and assess operational and infrastructure impacts for future consideration. No procurement award related to the ALPR system was made. The board also approved a funding item for law enforcement at Weedon Island and Shell Key, with a request to include it in future state funding efforts.
