Bixby Public Schools Board of Education regular meeting, October 8, 2026. The board approved a $650 Bixby Metro Chamber “Buy Bixby” participation purchase, discussed as funding tickets the district distributes with school purchases and fundraisers; the vote passed with one dissenting vote. It also approved a $5,000 partnership agreement with Shields All Sports Inc. and an agreement with Dr. Lisa Syswanto for physician consulting services at $300 per month, to be paid from the student drug-testing account. The board approved a 2026–27 contract with Pediatric Assessment and Counseling Services LLC for school psychological services, citing increased evaluation needs and staff capacity limits. A board member asked whether quotes had been sought and raised mileage costs; administration said it was not a formal RFP but that staff had researched available providers and found limited availability. The board also approved a drug-testing fee schedule after noting the DOT test cost had increased by about $2 per test. Other actions included opening a Spartan Serving Spartans activity account, transferring $443.68 from East Elementary’s yearbook account, approving surplus-item disposal, and approving the 2027 school-board election resolution.
