The Revere Commission on Disabilities meeting was held October 13, 2026. Members approved the prior meeting minutes after correcting the date reference to August 11. A public health guest described the city’s homebound vaccination program, offering flu, high-dose flu, COVID, pneumonia, and RSV vaccines during October and potentially November, as well as ongoing food-box distribution for residents with disability parking placards. The discussion also covered tuberculosis contact-tracing procedures and an earlier-than-usual flu season. The commission received no new Architectural Access Board variance requests and discussed the city’s special-needs registry and emergency-management responsibilities, which remain with the fire department.

Members discussed ADA coordinator roles, MassHealth renewal and appeal deadlines, disability-related community events, and the process for applying for residential accessible-parking signs, including that the commission facilitates applications but the Traffic Commission makes decisions. Beach-crossing safety concerns and future guest speakers were carried forward as next steps. No procurement activity, contract awards, spending votes, or budget allocations were identified.
