Permanent Building Committee 10-7-2026

The Permanent Building Committee meeting for the RCTV project was held October 7, 2026. The committee approved construction change order No. 4 for the general contractor, J&J, in an amount transcribed as approximately $17,284.73. It also approved September invoices, including J&J’s construction requisition No. 6 for approximately $2.17 million, BH+A’s construction-administration invoice for $33,000, and UTS testing and inspection services for $1,874.50; a $312 legal-counsel invoice was also presented. The budget dashboard showed just over $9 million in project costs if the evening’s invoices were approved. The committee passed a motion to have a group including the OPM, designer, town procurement staff, and selected committee members evaluate 10 commissioning-services proposals and proceed toward an award within the project’s $50,000 allocation.

The committee tabled discussion of a tariff-related change order pending clarification from town counsel, and deferred a BH+A amendment/geotechnical-fee request until the costs and project allocations are clarified. Construction was reported to be progressing, with framing underway and work proceeding toward making the building weather-tight; no substantial schedule changes were reported. The September 16 minutes were amended to reflect that the committee had chosen to issue an RFI rather than an RFP, and their approval was deferred because there were not enough eligible voters present.
