At the October 6, 2026 Redlands City Council meeting, the council unanimously approved a public works contract amendment with B81 Paving Inc., increasing the not-to-exceed amount for on-call water-utility pavement repairs from $600,000 to $900,000. The revised funding provides $450,000 in each of fiscal years 2026–27 and 2027–28, following higher-than-anticipated water-main repairs. The council also unanimously approved a three-year, not-to-exceed $300,000 agreement with Three Peaks Corp. for concrete crushing at the California Street landfill; the company was selected as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder from two RFP submissions. The council further approved a $50,000 purchase-and-sale agreement with Zachary D. Smith for the city-owned property at 21 North Church Street.

The council introduced Ordinance 3002, as amended, to prohibit new warehouses and logistics distribution facilities while allowing existing facilities to remain and providing rules for rebuilding and modernization. The amendments removed provisions allowing additional truck docks and requiring an economic-feasibility or market analysis; conditional-use review and energy-use analysis remain relevant to requests for height increases. The council also unanimously approved Resolution 8834 supporting Proposition 1, a proposed $11.25 billion state housing bond, and Resolution 8837 revising procedures for Planning Commission vacancies. No reportable action was announced from closed session.
