The Inland Wetlands Agency regular meeting on October 7, 2026, addressed permit applications, bond releases, enforcement matters, and river and stormwater concerns. No procurement activity, contract awards, or purchasing decisions were identified. For application W3-24-0027, the agency voted to extend the fee deadline to October 17; payment by then would keep the application active, while failure to pay would leave it subject to denial as incomplete. A public hearing was scheduled for November 4 for a proposed residence at 844 Mill Hill Terrace. The requested $59,500 bond release for Patterson Club was continued pending a sitewalk and review of whether a storage/laydown area complies with the permit. In contrast, the agency approved a final $10,865 bond release for completed restoration work.
The agency also voted to authorize filing wetlands-related violations in a pending enforcement matter. Staff reported that Connecticut DOT collaborated with the town on post-storm river cleanup, removing about seven dump-truck loads of material from beneath a bridge; no cost or purchase was reported. Members discussed a possible inter-commission effort to gather information about Mill River water levels, the Tide Mill Dam repair, and related environmental concerns, as well as scheduling sitewalks and sharing storm information with the public.
