Description

This project proposes a novel etiologic basis for uterine fibroid development through pathological reprogramming of the myometrial epitranscriptome and offers proof of concept for therapeutic intervention using epigenetic inhibitors of tumorigenic enhancer activity driven by m6A-chromatin crosstalk. The study aims to establish the basis of epitranscriptomic reprogramming in uterine fibroids, delineate the role of METTL3-dependent RNA methylation, elucidate its impact on gene expression, and evaluate the therapeutic potential of BRD inhibitors in a preclinical mouse model.
