Description

This project will utilize computational and neuroimaging methods to examine whether aversive interoceptive learning is disrupted in anorexia nervosa and how this relates to clinical symptoms, yielding greater insight into both sensory mechanisms and neural architecture supporting sensory processing in this psychiatric condition. Understanding how individuals with anorexia nervosa learn about internal body sensations, at the intersection of computational psychiatry and neuroscience, will improve etiological models and potentially inform novel treatment development.
