Description

The Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement (ORE) Core of Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) aims to outreach to, engage with, and educate the Greater Boston communities regarding AD/ADRD, facilitate recruitment and retention of participants at greater risk for AD/ADRD, and collaborate in developing innovative AD/ADRD materials and programs. The core supports NAPA 2024 milestones related to preventing and treating AD, improving care quality, expanding supports, and promoting healthy aging. It ensures adequate participant enrollment, collaborates with data management and other cores, and partners with local organizations such as the Boston VA, Massachusetts ADRC, and Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH. Strategies include recruitment coordinators as Navigators, Student Ambassadors, the AgeWISE program, community talks, and social media, with continuous evaluation and improvement of recruitment efforts.
