CLINICAL LGBTQ+ TRAINING Services to be provided: Dr. Weeks will deliver two, two hour live clinical trainings focused on risk factors associated with LGBTQIA2S+ youth in detention settings. Topics will include the physical and emotional stressors experienced by this population, including bullying and abuse in detention. The training will also explore the cultural and institutional dynamics which impact the risk of maltreatment, suicide, and substance use related dangers. The training will provide strategies and resources to foster safety and support for LGBTQIA2S+ youth while they are detained and after they return to the community. The first training session is projected to begin as early as April 28, 2026.
