Research project funded by the National Cancer Institute to study genetic markers and develop therapeutics to prevent nilotinib-induced artery disease in leukemia patients.
Description
The project aims to identify genetic markers associated with susceptibility to nilotinib-induced artery disease (NIAD) in patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia. The study involves recruiting 100 patients, generating hiPSC lines, whole genome sequencing, and functional characterization. The project will develop predictive SNPs and candidate therapeutics to prevent NIAD.
