A research project funded by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases to optimize an online intervention to increase postpartum diabetes testing and prevention among women with gestational diabetes.

Description

This project aims to develop and evaluate an outreach strategy to improve postpartum diabetes screening and prevention among women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), leveraging online, theory-driven components for large-scale implementation. The study proposes to test a multi-component outreach intervention targeting motivational and logistical barriers to engaging in preventive care postpartum, using a randomized factorial trial to identify effective components to increase postpartum screening and enrollment in lifestyle programs.
