Description
This NIH grant supports research on developing human taste organoid models to better understand taste perception and disorders related to disease and therapy effects. The project aims to develop tissue culture techniques to grow taste buds from lingual tissue of recently deceased human donors, to understand how disease and cancer drugs affect taste buds and taste function in patients.
