Development of a real-time, non-invasive method to characterize thrombus age and mechanical properties using ultrasound-responsive nanodroplets.

Description

This project aims to develop an in situ micro-rheology technique using ultrasound-responsive nanodroplets that phase-transition into microbubbles via acoustic droplet vaporization (ADV). These bubbles' acoustic emissions will be correlated with thrombus age and elastic modulus to enable real-time, non-invasive characterization of thrombi.
