Description
This project involves an embedded pragmatic stepped wedge cluster clinical trial across 8 nursing homes, utilizing a mixed-methods approach to examine the use of subepidermal moisture (SEM) assessment as a cue for nursing staff to initiate pressure injury prevention. The study aims to determine if early pressure damage detected by SEM effectively cues prevention, examine associations with resident characteristics, and explore usability and staff characteristics influencing adoption of early detection and prevention practices.
