Description
Mast cells are important for allergic and inflammatory disorders including drug allergy, psoriasis, and rosacea. This project studies the mechanism via which a new receptor present only in mast cells is activated, aiming to develop novel strategies to modulate inflammatory disorders. The project investigates the interaction of G proteins and GRK2 with MRGPRX2 to promote mast cell-mediated responses and develop potential therapeutic strategies.
