Description

This project aims to develop a new AFM-IR technology, dubbed resonance enhance null-deflection IR (RENDIR) spectroscopic imaging, to overcome current limitations such as mechanical artifacts, high noise, and low sensitivity. Objectives include developing custom electronics, optimizing data recording, expanding optical range, integrating novel optics, validating performance, and using biological models to identify subcellular domains and metabolites with improved resolution, noise, sensitivity, and data acquisition speed.
