Description
This project aims to investigate the role of anti-insulin B cells (AIBCs) in the development of type 1 diabetes (T1D). The study will analyze AIBC phenotypic and B cell receptor attributes, their changes during disease progression, and their potential as biomarkers for predicting diabetes onset and response to clinical trials. The research involves longitudinal sampling of pre-symptomatic T1D participants, B cell receptor sequencing, epitope mapping, and the development of monoclonal antibodies and analysis pipelines.
