ESCANDON SKATEPARK GROUNDWORK

The City of McAllen is soliciting bids for groundwork improvements at Escandon Skatepark, including grading and concrete work. The project is partially funded by federal grants and requires bonds or single payment contracts depending on bid amount.

Description

The City of McAllen is accepting bids from qualified bidders for the improvements at Escandon Skateboard Park. Improvements include grading, aggregate base, concrete flat work and sub-slabs, sidewalks and other appurtenances. The city of McAllen will provide precast concrete components. Payment and Performance Bonds shall be executed except in the event that the total amount bid is $50,000 or less, the successful contractor has the option to enter into a single payment contract with the City of McAllen in lieu of a Performance Bond. In the event that the total amount bid is $25,000 or less, the successful contractor has the option to enter into a single payment contract with the City of McAllen in lieu of a Payment and Performance Bond. This project is funded, in part, by Community Development Block Grant funds and is subject to Federal requirements including Executive Order 11246, Civil Rights Acts, Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act, Davis-Bacon Act, and state laws.
