Critical Examination of Racism and Other Forms of Oppression 2025-2026 Curriculum Development + Facilitation approx. 9 hours total; Materials for 50 Participants LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 1. Discuss racism and other forms of oppression as systemic and structural phenomena. 2. Examine how power, privilege, and historical context influence treatment and service delivery. 3. Identify how personal, professional, and institutional biases impact clinical practice. 4. Recognize common clinical practices in which oppression may be reproduced (e.g., diagnosis, risk assessment, and treatment planning). 5. Identify how systemic oppression impacts mental health outcomes, help-seeking behaviors, and therapeutic relationships. 6. Identify strategies that can be used to discuss race, racism, discrimination, and racial stress. DELIVERABLES: -TBD, projected to be delivered on or after February 27, 2026 -Copies of training materials are to be furnished by the Training Unit. Vendor will submit electronic files to DMH 72 hours prior to scheduled training.
