Description

Human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) derived hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) offer a scalable source of HSCs for the treatment of blood disorders; however, current protocols deriving HSCs from hiPSCs are largely devoid of long-term reconstitution potential. The project aims to characterize spatially defined hematopoiesis in HSC-producing arteries, focusing on NOTCH modulators that control site-specific differences in hematopoiesis, with the goal of discovering methods to enhance long-term HSC production from hiPSC.
